Scott's ideas for RMWB

As a 10 year resident, I'm running for council to make some positive change in our community. This is now the third election since relocating to RMWB and seeing very little change to local politics same faces running. I have accepted my nomination to hopefully be elected and make some positive changes in the RMWB.
Platform:
1. Increase the number of Wards in Fort McMurray. 
Splitting up Ward 1 and adding new Wards.
Currently voters in Ward 1 pick 6 councilors, all 6 of these councilors could very well live in the same area, the same street even.
Under my proposal Ward 1 would be split into new wards. These Wards would be represented on council by a resident that lives in that area.
Timberlea (New Ward)
Thickwood (New Ward)
Downtown-Abasand (New Ward)
Downtown-Waterways (New Ward)
Beaconhill - Gregoire - Prairie Creek (New Ward)


2. Create more OHV friendly areas.
The pilot project in Abasand has been a great success, its time to expand this into other areas.




3.Development of Thickwood Beach. 
At the bottom of Thickwood Blvd. where it meets Hwy.63. There is a wonderful spot that is very popular and in need of Parking and proper access to the Athabasca River.


4. Advocate for lower electricity distribution rates.
Residents of RMWB shouldn't pay higher distribution rates just because of where we live. I will fight for lower rates.
